Come to Socialism 2026

Come to Socialism 2026

Do you want to be part of building the socialist opposition that we need to end austerity, poverty, war, climate crisis, racism and discrimination?

The last two decades of our lives have been under the shadow of the 2007-8 world economic crisis Over those 20 years, access to decent public services, our wages and living standards were sacrificed by capitalist politicians to protect and restore the profits of the super-rich.

Around the world, governments are moving towards re-armament and further squeezing public spending. While infrastructure continues to crumble, unemployment climbs, public services close and decent jobs disappear, the profits of the big business shareholders climb. The energy bosses in the wake of the horror and death unfolding in Iran have been making $30 million – every hour!
How can it be that there always ends up being money available to bail out the banks, to produce arms for wars abroad, to sit idle in the bank accounts of the mega-rich – but never for the basics we need to live a safe and decent life?

It’s because capitalism is a profit-before-all-else system, and therefore completely incapable of organising society to meet the needs of the majority. It’s a rotten system based on the rule of a tiny handful of billionaire, which is more and more trying cling to power by attempting to cultivate racist, sexist and LGBT-phobic division.

But a fightback is on. In the US millions have mobilised in the streets in ‘No Kings’ protests, while thousands confronted Trump’s ICE agents in mass action in the streets of Minneapolis. In Britain, hundreds of thousands marched on the trade union demo against racist division on the 28 March. Internationally, millions have mobilised against the genocidal slaughter in Gaza, including general strike action in Italy.

But how can we fight to end the horror of capitalism in the 21st century? How can we, as a vital step towards this, fight for a political voice for the working-class majority in Britain?

Socialism 2026, taking place on 14 and 15 November in central London, will be the place to be to discuss these questions and more.

The urgent need for a root and branch transformation of society in Britain and internationally has never been clearer. The alternative we fight for is a socialist one. That means democratic planning of the economy by the working-class majority to meet the needs of all – based on cooperation and collaboration of the working class internationally to replace the waste, division, and drive for profit which make up capitalism.

Come to Socialism 2026 to discuss how we can fight for that transformation of society so urgently needed. Check out the provisional program to get a taste of the event.
